Still Frame Analysis

Rocky 6 Still frame analysis
Rocky being very similar genre to our own film I have decided to do a bit of research and do a still frame analysis of the image above.

Mise en scene:
In this scene it shows rocky boxing with his opponent in the ring. The background of this scene shows the ref inspecting the fight and also the crowd watching the fight.
The boxing shows rocky punching his opponent with some power as the expression on his face indicts this.

The color of the scene is very serious colors that consist of blacks, yellow, white and blue. These are the main colors that can be seen straight away that give a
serious mood to the fight.

The costumes that the fighters are wearing are appropriate as they are wearing boxing attire such as shorts and gloves. This gives the scene more realism into how it is a professional fight with the attire being very professional.

The props of the scene are the ring and the boxing gloves. Without these props it would not be a boxing scene.

The lighting of the scene is a very dark around the ring but as to inside the ring and where the fighters are has a hard light upon them from showing the importance of them and them being in the spot light.

This scene is a 2 person shot or a mid-long shot. This is because the scene shows from the knee to the head. This scene shows a lot of action so it is the right camera angle to get the most important actions in the scene.

The organization of the scene shows at the rope viewing the fighters fighting followed by the referee behind inspecting the fight. They’re after shows the fans outside the ring followed by sponsorships above the ring. This gives a professional touch to the scene as we feel like we are at a real boxing match rather then at a film.
