Here is our preliminary task. This task was done to show continuity in our project while filming and editing. While doing this task it also gave us a chance to see possible ides of what to include in the filming when making our final piece of work.

Above is our final project of our opening sequence for our film. From the preliminary task we get many ideas from it. This is because our opening sequence was quite different in the way it was shot and required more camera work. However in the preliminary task my job was to help out with the camera work and edit the task. however while making this concept when editing we found a mistake when editing which was Junuz opens the door he used his left hand, however when we are in the room he has opened it with his right. This shows we made a mistake and didn't show the continuity. With this in mind it helped us for our short sequence. 
So when it came to our final opening sequence we took what went well and what didn't into account to improve and make a better final piece of work. So we was was more cautious and had better ideas on how to film certain shots of the opening sequence. For example

For example when Junez puts the gloves on, he puts them on then another clip appears and then he is putting the gloves on again. This shows we have improved while shooting as this just one shoot taken but edited into the bits needed. This will help us a it shows contuinty and we cant make any mistakes as we didn't perform any wrong editing to make any mistakes in the short scene.

EVALUATION ACTIVITY 1In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products? 

From the image above I'm trying to show proof of how our media product challenging and are conventions of real media products. i will now go into more detail through each image. 

1: The first image shows the very first opening sequence in which it displays the different main characters names.

2: The seconded image shows the first main character anyone sees. The shot has some sense of enigma to it as we yet don't know anything what's happening.

3: The third shot shows a form of a media product used as we have created a back-bored very similar to the ones shown in sporting press conferences. This makes the opening sequence a better real media product because its lifelike to a one broadcasting stations such as sky would use in interviews and conferences.

4: This shot is important because it shows an important character which is the scout. who plays an important role in the film. we also see a pair of boxing gloves being put on which indicates there could be a fight coming up.

5:This is the title of the film. 'Gloves up' is title which comes in half way through our opening sequence to give more information into what the film is and what to expect a little later on as a small hint.

6:This frame is chosen because its another important shot because it shows the production company which is another use of real media products. 

7:In this shot its split into 4 small screens to show the different kinds of traning both fighters are going for in preparation for there fights.

8:In this shot is another important information as it shows the producer as titles are still going throughout the opening scene.  

9:In the last frame it shows a single shot of a character running on a street as  another training scene
Setting/Location - The location of the opening sequence was mostly in school. A few of the training scenes were shot in lions gym and the running scene at then end was a street on the side of the school. so everything was near by and within a 1 mile radius so we didn't have to travel far to shoot.  
Costume/props - The costumes and props for the press conference scenes we used smart clothing such as shirts and ties while in the gym we used sportswear to make it perfect to work out in. The props we used in the press conference are a microphone,water bottle and a table. we used the presentation bored for the advertisement and  camera with flash for the extra touch. And then we used the equipment at the gym for that scene.
Camerawork/editing - We used a camera and tripod to get the best scenes possible and the best camera work when filming. For editing when we had to cut scenes and edit them we used Adope premier pro to make sure we had the best available technology to give us the best editing we could to ensure we only got in what we needed. 

Title Font and style - The font used is Bell Gothic Std. This is the same for the titles throughout the opening sequence also for the GLOVES UP print screen.
Genre - The genre of our film is action/drama. The reason being for this is there is a lot of action in the film, with the fighting scenes however the majority of the film is drama. The story of the film suggests that there is going to be a lot of emotion in the film therefore drama is the appropriate genre of our film.

How did you attract/address your audience?

We attracted and addressed our audience to get across our film trailer by using Youtube. Youtube is a powerful video-sharing website were which users can upload, share, and view videos. This is one of the best ways to get across our trailer because of how massive the site is used worldwide and how it can attract millions of potential users to watch our trailer.  A method in which we used to share it across this video uploading site was to have tags in the listing of the video.

The tags on Youtube allow a video simply easier to find. When a user using the site is trying to find a specific or most narrow search they would search into Youtube any keywords. For example if someone wanted to find a music video they have a range of searches to search from that relate to that video. As long as it somehow relates the search can be easier to find. This is because the user who uploaded the video would have also including specific tags which relate to the videos making it easier to find from the rest.

What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why?

MGM/UA Entertainment

MGM/UA Entertainment  is a possible distribution company that could potentially distribute our product  because of how our film storyline plot has some similarities to Rocky. MGM are famous for producing all the Rocky films. So for them to produce our media product would be challenging as it would be reaching out to customers who loved rocky and also to new customers as it has a different spin off at the same time which means it will be quite fresh so for MGM to produce the film it can work as they have produced similar work in the past. 

Another film company that could produce our film could be.. 

Touchstone picturesTouchstone pictures is another film company who could produce our film because of them recently producing the film 'Real Steel'. This film is slightly different to our film but again has kind of the same storyline in a way. Real Steel is about fighting except with robots instead of humans. The storyline of the two films have some similarities which both contain struggle and a upcoming. For touchstone to produce our film after producing real steel would be a sensible move as it can attract the same audience and more.

What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?

In the process of making and constructing the finished product as  a group we have used various of po grammes and software to make the best product we can. some of the programmes, websites and software's we used are:

Prezie

The software,websites and programmes we used are to help us make our product to the best of our ability. This is because of the technology we used is a good standard technology so that can help us construct our project better giving us more of a advantage to make a better film because of how good the technology is. For example without Adobe Photoshop we would not of been able to make a professional looking back-bored for our interview clip. Without the website Google and Youtube we wouldn't of been  able to make great research into existing products and similar genres. This shows how with the technology we used has helped us produce a better product.

Who would be the audience for your media product?

The ideal audience for my media project will be a fan of fighting and sports. They may well be into Wrestling , Boxing , MMA or any other form of fighting.I will now go into further details into what kind of taste our target market audience may have.

Where our TMG may shop ? 

The TMG are fans of sports so there ideal taste of shops will be sport shops. This can be shops such as Sports Direct, JJB, Pro direct, Nike shop, Adidas shop, JD and footlocker. These are the most common shops our TMG will have a taste for shopping at finding all their favourite brands which are one of the most common things a sports fan has taste for. I have selected these shops because they are the most popular shops to shop at if anyone was searching for sports brands or equipment. They would also have taste in these shops because the brands these shops sell are the brands  the TMG would want and wear.

What my TMG favorite Tv channels would be ?
The TMG favorite Tv programs will be a lot of sports related programs. A few channels they may  be interested in are Sky sports . ESPN , BBC1 , ITV  and Channel 5. This is because these channels are the the ones who broadcast the sports they are related too.

What their favorite TV programs would be ?
The TMG favorite TV programs would be sport and entertainment programs such as Boxing , UFC, MMA, WWE. All these TV programs are sports and entertainment progams which are relevant and related to out TMG. So this is why this it would be ideal as their favorite programs because their is alot of relation between the film and the TMG favorite programs.

How the TMG would dress ?
The TMG would be likely to dress in sports clothing a lot. This will be what they are most comfortable in and it also mirrors the similar kind of clothing we would wear in the film and some similarities which can be seen the in their favorite TV programs. 

Why would the TMG watch our film ? The TMG would want to watch our film because it involves a lot of their common interests. As well as this, the film is a fresh approach into this genre which may generate some interests to the audience. This can spur the TMG onto want to watch our film more because of the exciting new concept of a new film with a lot of thrills.

EVALUATION ACTIVITY 2
In this task i will be comparing the similarities and differences of the two characters shown above in the split screen image. On the left is Luke playing the character of Chris Taylor, while on the right is Sylvester Stallone playing the character Rocky. They both have similarities and difference that can be linked through there characters.

Similarities
The similarities between these characters and in the shot are:

• They are both running through the street
• Both characters are training
• Both characters are the underdogs going into the fight 
• Both scenes shown above are set in day time 
• Both characters have a poor background
  Rocky background Rocky's background in the film is seen as a poor background. He lives in the slums of Philadelphia and is very poor. Fighting is his only option as he never graduated to earn a education to get him a job
  Chris Taylor background
  Chris Taylor has a rough background as he grew up. He was bought up and live in a poor neighborhood of Hillfields in Coventry. Fighting is what Chris knew best and had been doing it for the last 20 years ready for his big chance.
  
  Above are the two characters that i have done a short information on their background.The similarities on their background are very similar as they are both have poor upbringing forcing them to turn to fighting as a way of trying to turn there life's around.
  
  
  Differences
  The differences between these characters and in the shot are: 
  
• The angle in which the shot is taken are 2 different shots. The shot of Rocky is a mid shot to show some of the background but more focus of the character training. While the shot of Chris Taylor is long shot. This is to show the whole scenery in which he is training in to set the scene a bit more into how rough area Chris trains in. 
• The clothing both characters are wearing are complete different to each other. Rocky is wearing a jumper and matching jogging bottoms while Chris is wearing a t-shirt and shorts. From this we can in which the climate they train in maybe different. From what we see Rocky wearing which is full length warm clothes that he maybe training in colder conditions compared to Chris as from what he is wearing on could show that the climate is slightly warmer as hes not having to wrap up while training. 
• The scenery can also show some differences. The scenery of Rocky we can see quite a lot of children running after Rocky. This can show he is popular with his city or community so that when he is training the children want to join him. We can also see in the far distance of this shot that the city is very welcoming or shared by a lot of nationalities, we can see this by the number of flags running across the top of the scene.
  As for the scenery in the shot containing Chris Taylor, the scenery shows more of a urban part of the city but yet still one of the more undeveloped area. We can tell this by in which the conditions of the roads are as they are in bad condition. There is also the orange and green building in the background which is in poor condition as its has various of graffiti spots on. From this scene we can see Chris may like to train alone as he looks focused whiles training on his own.
• The appearance of the two characters are different as well from only what we can see is Rocky looks more rough in terms of how his hair as its not been groomed but then again looks more professional with sweat bands, matching attire and the glove warping around his hands. While Chris Taylor looks more casual in non matching attire.
