EVALUATION ACTIVITY 1In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?
From the image above I'm trying to show proof of how our media product challenging and are conventions of real media products. i will now go into more detail through each image.
1: The first image shows the very first opening sequence in which it displays the different main characters names.
2: The seconded image shows the first main character anyone sees. The shot has some sense of enigma to it as we yet don't know anything what's happening.
3: The third shot shows a form of a media product used as we have created a back-bored very similar to the ones shown in sporting press conferences. This makes the opening sequence a better real media product because its lifelike to a one broadcasting stations such as sky would use in interviews and conferences.
4: This shot is important because it shows an important character which is the scout. who plays an important role in the film. we also see a pair of boxing gloves being put on which indicates there could be a fight coming up.
5:This is the title of the film. 'Gloves up' is title which comes in half way through our opening sequence to give more information into what the film is and what to expect a little later on as a small hint.
6:This frame is chosen because its another important shot because it shows the production company which is another use of real media products.
7:In this shot its split into 4 small screens to show the different kinds of traning both fighters are going for in preparation for there fights.
8:In this shot is another important information as it shows the producer as titles are still going throughout the opening scene.
9:In the last frame it shows a single shot of a character running on a street as another training scene
Setting/Location - The location of the opening sequence was mostly in school. A few of the training scenes were shot in lions gym and the running scene at then end was a street on the side of the school. so everything was near by and within a 1 mile radius so we didn't have to travel far to shoot.
Costume/props - The costumes and props for the press conference scenes we used smart clothing such as shirts and ties while in the gym we used sportswear to make it perfect to work out in. The props we used in the press conference are a microphone,water bottle and a table. we used the presentation bored for the advertisement and camera with flash for the extra touch. And then we used the equipment at the gym for that scene.
Camerawork/editing - We used a camera and tripod to get the best scenes possible and the best camera work when filming. For editing when we had to cut scenes and edit them we used Adope premier pro to make sure we had the best available technology to give us the best editing we could to ensure we only got in what we needed.
Title Font and style - The font used is Bell Gothic Std. This is the same for the titles throughout the opening sequence also for the GLOVES UP print screen.
Genre - The genre of our film is action/drama. The reason being for this is there is a lot of action in the film, with the fighting scenes however the majority of the film is drama. The story of the film suggests that there is going to be a lot of emotion in the film therefore drama is the appropriate genre of our film.
